China hosts the deepest catalog on the internet — AliExpress for retail, Taobao and 1688 for everything else, Alibaba for bulk. The catch is fragmented shipping: most Chinese sellers don't ship internationally at all, and the ones who do route through slow patchy services that take six weeks.

We handle seller chats, disputes, and Mandarin negotiation when needed. Best when Taobao's Chinese-only interface is a barrier or you don't have a foreign card.

For most personal shopping, start with AliExpress. For wholesale or anything Taobao-only, use "we shop for you" — we read Chinese.

Consolidation saves real money

This is the single biggest reason to use this lane through us instead of buying direct.

For one cheap item, direct shipping makes sense. For anything more, consolidation wins clearly.

Air or sea?

Three lanes. Pick by weight and urgency:

• Air Express (10–14 days) — fastest, most expensive. Worth it for time-sensitive orders or single high-value items
• Air Standard (14–21 days) — balance for most personal orders. Default for parcels under 30 kg
• Surface / sea (25–45 days) — significantly cheaper for heavy or bulk shipments. Crossover usually around 50 kg

Duties and customs

Maldives levies customs duty on Chinese imports based on HS code, declared value, and category. We pre-calculate it in your quote — landed cost is fixed before you pay.

Common patterns:

• Phones and electronics — duty plus VAT, typically 13–18%
• Fashion and accessories — duty plus VAT, typically 25–35%
• Cosmetics — higher rate, often 40%+, plus per-volume restrictions
• Lithium batteries — air freight needs UN38.3 paperwork; we handle this

If something at customs needs higher duty than initially quoted (rare but possible for misclassified goods), we cover the difference up to a tolerance. For larger discrepancies, we let you decide before clearance.

Common questions

Do I need to read Chinese? No for AliExpress (English). Yes for Taobao and 1688. If you can't read Chinese, use "we shop for you" — we handle the buy and the seller chat in Mandarin.

What if a seller never ships? Open a dispute on the platform within the protection window. If you used "we shop for you," we handle disputes for you — including the Mandarin parts.

How long do you hold parcels? 90 days free. After that we ask what you want to do.

Can I combine China orders with other origin warehouses? Not on the same shipment — different origin warehouses. But we can time deliveries so multiple origins arrive together at your door.

Counterfeit goods? We won't ship items we can identify as counterfeit (fake luxury, fake-brand electronics). Borderline cases get flagged for your decision before forwarding.
